What’s new and next at Brandfolder: AI-assisted DAM + so much more

Being the most intuitive and intelligent digital asset management (DAM) platform on the market takes a lot of hard work and dedication. That’s why we at Brandfolder have been heads down future-proofing our offering with cutting-edge capabilities, strengthening the partnership with our parent company, Smartsheet, and working with our amazing customers more closely than ever.

Over the last year, we launched several new, customer feedback-driven features to improve our platform’s strength, scalability, and service. These include custom CDN links for more control and faster content delivery, smarter deduplication with clear notifications to prevent accidental asset deletion, and increased bulk access and download limits up to 100k assets at once — just to name a few.

Now, we’re excited to share a sneak peek at what’s next. Our product roadmap is chock-full of features and functionality focused on driving innovation and improvement in a few key areas: AI & automation, and usability & reliability. Let’s dig in!

AI & Automation

It’s no secret that teams today are under pressure to move faster and deliver more work with the same resources. Every second counts, and harnessing the latest AI and automation capabilities is crucial for enabling teams to keep up and stay focused on the most impactful parts of their jobs.

People Tagging in Brandfolder will eliminate the need to spend hours manually tagging and searching for executives, brand ambassadors, or other individuals across images. Facial recognition technology can automatically detect, recognize, and tag faces in pictures to streamline content organization, enable teams to quickly locate assets featuring a specific person, and better manage privacy and usage rights.

Additional AI-enhanced features coming soon to Brandfolder include natural language search. This will give users a more flexible and intuitive way to find the exact assets they need, without having to use precise keyword matching, enhancing platform adoption and content usage. We’re excited to explore even more ways to improve Brandfolder intelligence by identifying generative AI and agentic AI opportunities to help with content creation, decision making, brand compliance, and more!

Usability & Reliability

Brandfolder customers consistently report that our seamless user experience is one of their favorite DAM features. This is due largely to our intuitive user interface, built to power unparalleled content discoverability — because people can’t use digital assets they can’t find!

We’re continuing to invest heavily in optimizing our platform’s search experience, especially as it relates to navigating your ever-growing content libraries. The larger the library, the more difficult it is to find what you’re looking for, so we’re dedicated to ensuring that Brandfolder quickly and consistently surfaces accurate, reliable results in the ways that make the most sense for users. We’re also making it possible for users to visually scan, browse, and access 10k+ assets at once within a single section view.

Does a new mid-level manager need more than basic access to the content library, but you’re not comfortable handing over full control? No sweat — we’re giving you the flexibility to assign asset management permissions to Collaborators while restricting their administrative access. We’re also enabling account administrators to more easily manage rapidly growing teams by taking a wider variety of bulk actions across a larger number of users at once.

Next up? We’re planning to roll out enhanced customer support options, including a 24/7 chatbot and live chat capabilities. This will bring Brandfolder’s customer service experience into alignment with the Smartsheet support standards and ecosystem, ensuring users can get answers to their questions and implement solutions faster!
